Jomsom Muktinath Trek, one of easiest trekking in Annapurna Region, comprises in the north part of Land Lock country Nepal. The topographical formation of this region shared with Tibetan plateau, so it reminds us a piece of Tibet in Nepal. Furthermore, it is known as a district behind mountain after Manang. The scheduled Trek and Tour begins from Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, after a Day heritage sites exploration and prior Trek and Tour preparation. We take 35 minutes flight to Pokhara, the second largest city of Nepal, the most famous city for travelers, beautifully assembled by nature. After landing Pokhara, we will drive towards our Jomsom Muktinath Trekking staring point, Nayapul for one hour and, we trek to Tikhedhunga. Please, have a look our Itinerary detail for other stopping point for overnight. Initially, the trek begins from southern part, a buffer zone of Annapurna Conservation Area Project ACAP, and gradually we enter into the ACAP areas. During this trek, we will have full opportunities to experience nature and culture side by side. After completing mountain trek, we will fly to Pokhara from the mountainous airport Jomsom then drive back to Pokhara.

Day 1Arrival and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu Upon arrival in Kathmandu.

Our team member will be waiting outside the airport terminal a few meters from the exit door. Please check your name at Show card. He will bring you to hotel in Kathmandu. The drive from the airport to the hotel is around 20 minutes.After refreshment, we will brief your plan more visibly.

Day 2Kathmandu (1400m) Tour

Population: counted nationwide in AD. 2011, Kathmandu had households: 434344 & population: 1744240. Today tour will be in Bodhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath, syombhunath, with Kathmandu durbar square. In the morning we explore Kathmandu on an organized sightseeing tour Guide then Prepare for trekking.

Day 3By tourist bus to Pokhara

The bus journey will take 6 to 7 hours.Beautiful Pokhara valley, the beauty, they say, lies in the eyes of a beholder. That might be true to something beautiful, but what you want to tell about something sublime. If there is something that challenges Biblical Garden of Eden in its splendor and magnificence, it’s Pokhara – the ultimate destination for the wanderlusts and those who appreciate, of course, beauty in its pristine glory.The enchanting valley of Pokhara valley is situated at an altitude of 827 meters from sea level. An incarnation of the religious heaven, this celestial city is also known as the garden city of seven lakes, are here Begnas, Rupa, Khaste, Depang, Maidi, Neureni and Gunde. Just 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu, it is linked by Air and by road from Kathmandu and the Indian border Sunauli. Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Manaslu, five peaks of Annapurna and others. This is one of the few places in the world to provide such a dramatic view in a sub-tropical setting. The nearest snow-capped mountain, Fishtail, is less than30 kilometers from Pokhara. Day 4Pokhara to Tirkhedhunga(1577m)

(by car one hour to nayapul, trekking: 4hours) After breakfast take a bus ride to Nyapul(trek starting point) for one hour than trek to Birethanty for 30minates where conservation trekking permit and TIMS permit will be checked. The trail continues along the BurundiKholapassing through small villages and water fall you will reach a small village called Tirkhedhunga. Where you will spend a nights.

Day 5Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani(2800m)

(Trekking: 7 hours) After crossing the suspension bridge over the BhurungdiKhola, you will have to start a steep ascent to Ulleri( 2073m)using a continues stone steps. This is the hardest ascent in this course. From Ulleri trail continues gradually uphill through small village and Rhododendron forest you will be in Ghorepani.

Day 6Ghorepani – Poonhill to Tatopani

(Trekking: 8 hours) Early in the morning climb uphill for one hour to reach poonhill(3210m) for sunrise tour and wider view of mountain. ininfront , you will see the imposing Dhaulagiri accompanied by Tukuche Peak, Annapurna south, and a Hiumchuli. After breakfast trail continues downhill (1600m) through forest and several villages to reach to Tatopani where it has a great hot spiring and it is a highlight of trek.

Day 7Tatopani to Ghasa

(Trekking: 5 hours) From here, the course will follow along the Kali Gandakiriver to Dana. It is the winter village of Thakalis who live upstream. To reach Ghasa from here , there are two routes. One with rocky path via Kabre and other via Kapcepani.

Day 8Ghasa to Tukuche

(Trekking: 6 hours) Passing through upper village of Ghasa the source of Kaligandakiriver become a wider and you will reach to Lete. From where one can have a great view of Dhaulagiri(8167m) and Annapurna(8091m). keep moving on from there soon you will reach to Tukuche.the center of Thakali people.

Day 9Tukuche/ Jomsom to Kagbeni

(Trekking: 6 hours) The area beyond Tukuche has a strong south wind during the day. The road widens and the land is flat.the path will continue on the shores with little trees, looking up at Nilgiri North Peak(7061m)and Tilicho Peak(7134m) you will reach to Jomsom. It is an major village in the Dhaulagiri area. From Jomson it will take about 3hours to arrive in Kagbeni via EkleBhatti. The houses in Kagbeni are flat roofed in the Tibetan style. The inhabitants are also from the Tibetan family. This is the entrance of Mustang.

Day 10Kagbeni to Muktinath

(Trekking: 5 hours) Walking through sandy path and stone path reaching to Jharkot and Ranipauwa you can see Muktinath, the sacred place for Hindus and Tibetan Buddhists. There are some things worthy of a special mention. There is the water wall which consists of fine streaks of water 108spouts. The water springs out through rocks. Surrounded by this water wall, the main temple stands of Vishnu.

Day 11Muktinath to Jomsom

(Trekking: 5 hours) You now begin the descent down the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge, initially through arid country in the same geographical and climatic zone as Tibet. After passing through Jharkot and Khingar villages with typical Tibetan architecture, you follow the valley floor most of the way to Jomsom which is sprawled along both banks of the Kali Gandaki .From here there are nice views of the Nilgiri peaks.

Day 12Jomsom to Pokhara by Flight

Pokhara is set in a lovely valley at the foot of the Machapuchare so you get spectacular views of the mountains from all parts of the town. It is quite different from Kathmandu, with few temples, but it does have plenty of scenic attractions and is close to the mountains. There are some interesting short walks or bicycle rides from Pokhara, you can swim and canoe on Lake Phewa or just watch the last rays of the sun stream across the dip in the mountains that hold the lake. Along the lakeside road there is a continuous stretch of small hotels, restaurants and shops; it’s an area which still has a bit of the old hippy scene feel about it.

Day 13Pokhara Tour

The activities of foreign visitors to Pokhara focus around two districts known as Damside and Lakeside (or Pardi and Baidam, in Nepali, respectively). These two areas, with their strips of hotels and restaurants, are a few kilometers south-west of the main Pokhara bazaar. Place to visit.

Day 14Return back to Kathmandu by tourist bus.

The bus journey will take 5 to 6 hours.

Day 15Farewell

You’ll leave for your home country with good memories of Nepal.
